En el 2008 se dejara de instalar Windows XP en maquinas nuevas
Los planes de Microsoft es dejar de instalar Windows XP en máquinas nuevas a partir de finales de Febrero dado que la respuesta del publico a Windows Vista ha sido muy negativa, con esto pretende que Windows Vista empiece a ser mas "aceptado" entre los usuarios.
Una encuesta hecha por la fundación Harris Interactive que se dedican a la investigación de mercado en USA ha encontrado que solo el 10% de las personas que han encuestado están dispuestas a actualizar sus sistemas a Windows Vista.
Microsoft informo que a partir del 31 de Febrero dejara de vender licencias de Windows XP a grandes compañías como DELL, HP y Toshiba.
